A warm welcome to our 12 new 2022 scholars! They are a group of amazingly conscientious, hardworking and thoughtful young minds who are interested in everything from Robotics to Cognitive Science to Racial and Environmental Justice. But they're more than just their serious sides. They also love K-Pop, dance, listening to music in cars with friends, painting and reading in their down time.

We got to meet them IRL and in person at our annual backyard meet & greet. More importantly, they got to meet and connect with each other as well as older scholars from other cohorts. Many scholars were also meeting their mentors for the first time, giving them an opportunity to connect and establish a relationship before college started.

It warmed our hearts to see our community grow. Every year, the backyard gets a little fuller. One day soon, we are going to outgrow it.
